About

Buechel United Methodist Church is a community seeking to follow our Lord Jesus Christ, starting from our home in Louisville, Kentucky. Our congregation seeks to live out our mission, as Jesus dreamed, to be a house of prayer for all people. We strive to be a spiritually alive and intentionally multicultural community.

We have services in English, Swahili and Spanish; representing a diverse, missional, and Spirit-driven community. We have services at our main campus on Hikes Lane in East Louisville, as well as home groups.

Our church has a clothes closet, to meet the needs of our congregation and community. We also offer transportation to church for those without vehicles.

Our church is a congregation of The United Methodist Church, a global Christian connection.  The United Methodist movement is growing, active in 136 countries, and engages millions every week in worship, mission, and service.

"My house shall be a house of prayer for all peoples."

- Jesus -

Our Mission

Our Vision is to be a House of Prayer for All Nations. This means we have people from all over the world worshiping, serving, leading, and doing life together. We're not one church that hosts other churches - together we're one big, multi-lingual, diverse part of the Body of Christ.

In the midst of that unity, we also honor the need for language-specific experiences and fellowship through custom-tailored worship times and small groups.

Our Mission

Our Beliefs

We're a United Methodist Church which means we believe in grace, growing to be like Jesus as individuals and as a church family together, and we believe in serving the world around us.

We look at the world through Scripture, as well as reason, tradition, and experience. We value small groups and doing life together.
